Introduction
The Engineering Administration Officer is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations in the Engineering department.
Job description

  • Type correspondence, reports, minutes and documents as may be required
  • Answer and direct calls and respond to enquiries
  • Greet and assist visitors and arrange access for visitors
  • Open job cards, create Direct Purchase Request and Internal Stock Order Sheet on Pragma system
  • Upload and maintain intranet with all relevant information and documents
  • Upload all employee leave and documents onto the Employee Self Service (ESS) system
  • Maintain office files, confidential records and monitor departmental safety files and ensure they are up to date
  • Compile and submit monthly fuel reconciliations
  • Coordinate repairs to office equipment and communicate building maintenance needs
  • Schedule meetings and prepare agendas
  • Upload all Planned Task Observations (PTO’s) Slam cards, Job Safety Analysis sheets, meeting minutes, inspections, attendance sheets and permits onto the C-safe and Sage Systems respectively
  • Check attendance sheet correctness, complete cut off sheets for HOD approval and submit to payroll
  • Collect pays lips from HR and distribute to sections
  • Ensure compliance to all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Minimum Certificate in Office Administration/Secretarial (NQF Level 5)
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in an administrative environment
  • Valid Code B driver’s license
