Introduction
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for inventory analysis in order to sustain inventory targets.
Job description

Policies and Regulation
  • Operate the inventory system according to SOX (international procurement guideline).

Inventory system - Stock Management
  • Review vendor submissions of spare parts master data, ensuring that vendors have submitted spare parts data according to B2Gold standards.
  • Develop inventory management parameters for each spare part based on maintenance criticality, forecast demand at site, lead time and required service level.
  • Work with end-user departments to establish and maintain min/max levels based on historical usage, forecasted consumption and lead times.
  • Manage re-order system to ensure warehouse inventory levels align with requirements.

Consignment Stock and Vendor Managed Inventory
  • Daily/Monthly Check for accuracy in the ISO batch, submitted from suppliers.
  • Verifying that the SAGE ISO report matches with ISO’s processed. Ensure that ISO’s are delivered and validated.
  • Verify pricing is correct and ensure correct quantities are issued on ISO.
  • Prepare and submit Daily Payment Purchase Orders after reconciliations are done.
  • Verify that all fuel transaction matches the service provider’s reports.
  • Ensure fuel data sheets are correctly processed, and discrepancies are filed with Data Flex personnel.
  • Process weekly fuel payments and purchase orders.
  • Ensure that fuel and lube tank levels are kept at the required levels-as per contractual agreement.

Rotable Inventory
  • Verify data on ANRI (application for rotable items) and upload in ORB fusion.
  • Raise RPR (rotable purchase requests).

Safety, Health and Environment
  • Ensure compliance with all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with the Namibian Mining Act (Labour Act, Ordinance, Minerals Act, and Explosives Act) and Regulation clauses applicable to the work area.
  • Actively participate in safety and/or toolbox meetings and conduct a monthly safety inspection of the work area based on the schedule set by Management.

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12
  • NQF 4
  • Certificate in Warehousing
  • Minimum three year's experience in Supply Chain, of which one year in inventory analysis/management
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
