Introduction
The Graduate Intern: Engineering Administration is responsible for providing administrative and system support to the Engineering Department, including maintenance-related administration and other departmental support duties as required.
Job description

 Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Capture and update maintenance data in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assist in generating basic reports and compiling weekly planned maintenance schedules.
  • Support backlog management, inspection recording, and tracking of outstanding spares
  • Maintain maintenance documentation and component control records in line with company standards.
  • Prepare basic spreadsheets and graphs related to equipment availability.
  • Assist with job card capturing, purchase orders, stock requests, and system updates (Pragma, C-Safe)
  • Provide daily updates on job requests and follow up on data inconsistencies.
  • Assist with processing purchase orders and internal stock requests.
  • Prepare and submit access permit applications.
  • Carry out administrative tasks as instructed by the Planner.
  • Assist with invoice approvals and forward documents for payment processing.
  • Upload and maintain safety, maintenance, and compliance documentation on relevant systems

  • Comply with the B2Gold Golden Rules, Code of Conduct and all Policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in safety and/or toolbox meetings and conduct a monthly safety inspection of the work area based on the schedule set by Management.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, and keep the assigned work area clean and tidy.
  • Report all unsafe acts and conditions as well as injuries, accidents, equipment damage and near-miss incidents to the supervisor timeously.

Minimum requirements

  • National Diploma in Business Administration, Office Management or related field
  • Recently graduated (within the last 1-3 years)
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • No prior work experience required
  • A valid Code B driver’s license is an added advantage
