Introduction
The Creditors Clerk is responsible for providing financial support by ensuring that quantities and prices of goods are invoiced correctly compared to the original purchase order and that all supplier accounts are reconciled within the defined parameters.
Job description

Invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor account maintenance
 
  • Perform invoice verification for accounts payable.
  • Record relevant account details on invoices and perform reconciliations.
  • Advise suppliers on their inquiries.
  • Inform vendors when valid tax invoices are not supplied.
  • Assist with the vendor application process.
 
Administration & Customer Service
 
  • Assist with counting Petty Cash.
  • Assist in communicating finance reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with stakeholders.
 
Accounts Payable Transactions
 
  • Capture all relevant data and transactions.
  • Identify errors and initiate corrective actions.
  • Distribute data and information once transactions have been effected.
  • Complete the applicable reconciliations accurately and timeously.
 
Health, Safety and Environment
 
  • Compliance with the B2Gold Golden Rules, Code of Conduct and all Policie
  • Ensure compliance with all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and keeping the assigned work area clean and tidy.
  • Report all unsafe acts and conditions, injuries, accidents, equipment damage and near-miss incidents to the supervisor promptly.
  • Develop and implement good housekeeping principles and practices

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting (NQF Level 4)
  • Minimum two year’s experience within an accounting environment
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Valid Code B Driver’s License will be an added advantage
