Introduction
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for analysing inventory levels and trends to maintain optimal stock levels and achieve established inventory targets.
Job description

Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Operate the inventory system in accordance with SOX requirements and established internal controls.
  • Create and maintain item codes in the materials management system in accordance with established procedures.
  • Review vendor submissions of spare parts master data and ensure compliance with B2Gold master-data standards.
  • Standardise and classify spare parts descriptions and maintain the master-data catalogue to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain inventory parameters based on maintenance criticality, forecast demand, lead times and required service levels.
  • Identify Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and apply original manufacturer data to identify alternative purchasing opportunities that could reduce future purchasing costs.
  • Work with end-user departments to establish and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels based on historical usage, forecast consumption and lead times.
  • Manage reorder parameters, cycle count processes and continuous stock-taking to maintain required inventory levels.
  • Manage obsolete inventory and investigate, analyse and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Reconcile SAGE ISO reports against processed ISOs and verify pricing and quantities issued against ISOs.
  • Upload and maintain supplier price lists in SAGE and maintain the Master Product Catalogue.
  • Reconcile fuel transactions against Gilbarco reports and monitor fuel and lubricant tank levels to ensure required stock levels are maintained.
  • Verify data on ANRI (application for rotable items), upload it in ORB Fusion and raise Rotable Purchase Requests (RPRs).
  • Maintain accurate classifications, descriptions and records of rotable inventory.
 
Safety, Health and Environment
  • Comply with the B2Gold Golden Rules, Code of Conduct and all Policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in safety and/or toolbox meetings and conduct a monthly safety inspection of the work area based on the schedule set by Management.

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
  • Certificate in Warehousing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain, warehousing or inventory management, of which at least 1 year must be in inventory analysis or inventory management.
  • Experience with Inventory management systems.
  • A Valid Code B Driver’s License.
